has anyone of you ever bought an edition of marketingsherpa's landing page handbook?

i am considering to buy a copy as this would be very handy for an upcoming project i have in mind. i just would like some feedback here from previous buyers whether the content actually fulfills the promises for the 500 dollar pricetag.

[SherpaStore]

thanks for your feedback!

$497!
You have got to kidding me?!
Not sure if it's worth $497 (why a LEGIT product would end in 97 like all of the shit ebooks is beyond me... stupid psychology), but Marketing Sherpa has some quality reports and presentations. The other reports that I have seen from them are more targeted to merchants themselves, rather than affiliates, but this one could do just as well for affiliates.

Feel free to check out their executive summary for the book.

Is it really recommended or just another "go ahead and buy it stupid" suggestions?

lol im hoping I didn't just line myself up by asking :)

its pretty damn good.

thanks guys for your advice. bought me my copy today and its truly one of the better investments i did so far.

just the case studies are worth every penny but they even provide all test results for them on top. this alone is better teaching than quite a lot of stuff i read so far.

now i am just anxious to see whether the hardcopy is of good solid material, as these pages will get flipped a lot :)

shouldn't this be in the free ebook section

yeah right, just as you belong back to dp, fucker.

If you are serious about this business, then $497 to get even one decent idea is a bargain.

Yeah the Landing Page handbook isn't a scammy ebook. Its full of raw data that basically lays out what works and what doesnt with landing pages

I highly recommend this.

My perfectionism has always halted my projects at the landing page stage while the actual marketing, keyword, campaigning, optimization side came natural to me. This book basically gives you tried and true landing pages that convert if nothing else. But they do give you something else -- a goldmine of information if you're serious about the business. I got this from a Marketing Sherpa local vouch for just over $200 and I would have paid the $497 pricetag back when I bought the first edition.

fucking hell, whats with these internet prices for ebooks. why dont they just make some hard copies and sell that shit for like 60$ at the most and put that shit in book stores im sure they would make more money doing that.

If you'd leave your house more often instead of posting on forums all day then you'd see the prices of business related books, not ebooks, can skyrocket into the high hundreds or low thousands.

Reason for this is because it generally holds a much high cost to compile, sort through and report on the data as accurately as possible.

Remember, they know you aren't buying this stuff just to be fascinated by a good story... you're using it to sharpen your techniques and ultimately increase your cash flow.. Gotta spend some to make some.

This is the difference between REAL information in the business world, and the FAKE information aka the scammy get rich quick ebook types and bullshit courses they all hype to hell.

Ya dig?

i'm sure this will be the hottest downloadble thing in the free ebook section...Jon might want to increase the bandwidth if it happens lol :)

Definitely a top-notch book. Mainly because it's not just opinions like all the shit ebooks out there that basically say the same thing with different words. You know them all already. Sherpa is numbers and facts, testing and tracking which for me is the only information that means anything to me. If you're not already familiar with it, read "Scientific Advertising" by Claude Hopkins. Read it today. It's public domain. It will very quickly put you in the right mindset for building your business. That book is your foundation, tracking software are your tools (split testing, multivariate, Taguchi), and Marketing Sherpa is your "Physicians Desk Reference" moving forward.

By the way, there's was a link over at Black Hat World for the 2005 Marketing Sherpa edition. Live as of yesterday.
