Myspace Ads

I'd love to see a "how to make image ads that get clicks" tutorial. That would help a lot for MySpace ads, as they stop sending impressions if you're not getting clicks.

I have one banner that has gotten enough clicks to keep running.

I'm thinking something like the epic thread on text ads (by ImagesAndWords, I think) but for banners... Any takers?

just look at whats consistently running and emulate the elements you think make it do well

what are the banner sizes on there?

also do they allow animation on the banners?

300 x 250 and 728 x 90

No animation


I have hundreds of campaigns on myspace, and continue to launch atleast 20 a day.. you have to be persistant. Some will get clicks and some won't.. I have some campaigns that are going through $200+ a day, while another campaign that is setup 100% identical, is getting 0 clicks.

200 campaigns and additional 20 campaigns everyday? I wish i have patience like you.

I think thats the best way to do it. Alot of affiliates give up after not seeing any return on their investment or time. I tell my publishers to take an offer and do a bunch of tests with different demographics in order to discover what might work best for them. I think that what is happening is people are signing up and launching their campaign and then expecting fast returns. Give it time and test tuntil you find what works for you.

A thread like that is actually on my list of todos but I just haven't had time to start it up yet. Feel free to pm me questions you want answered in regards to an image ad "how to" post.
 
I wanted to do a quick test direct linking on MySpacde. I normally use an LP, but just trying to test something out. But when i try to submit my ad, i get this error:

The landing page you have specified for your ad does not comply with our Editorial Guidelines. Please change your destination URL, and we will be happy to run your ad on MySpace.

I did a direct link test about a month ago and it worked then. Haven't tried since. Has anyone had this problem? It's a hydra link...

I get direct links to work...some get dissapproved some get approved...and im submitting same fricken ad... pends on whos reviewing.
 
Are you guys getting imp/clicks/ANYTHING today, lol. I had a new ad approved this morning around 9am, its now 7:30 and zero impressions? Anyone else having any similar probs?
 
Between my indian and I, we setup 90 campaigns today and I have also noticed very little traffic.. I am down atleast 60% in traffic today

lol, good to know. So that means with only setting up ONE damn campaign i shouldn't complain, lol. 90 campaigns huh! Sounds like you've found a good niche! ooooooor your really looking for one, lol.

I have submitted at least 100 ads and most, if not all, get rejected for "inappropriate landing page url." I emailed MySpace and they never got back to me. Anyone know what the rejection means? I have tried many variations of domain names to see if they don't like certain types, but, they all got rejected. I mean, come on!!!! Thank you in advance for any replys.

I've never had this problem. I even use redirects for some of my landing pages.

i had the same issue when i tried direct linking with a network link. Then i did a direct link with a prosper202 link and it worked fine...
 
what is your bounce rate guys when using an acai-blog page ?

mine is very high for myspace traffic - 90% (!) meaning that only 1 of 10 myspace visitors to my blog will click on the offer link. Is that normal? I'll be happy to hear what are you guys seeing.
