Copying Competitor's Landing Pages

Thanks for the thoughts. Don't bullshit yourselves, copied landings pages drives the bulk of the conversions in all the big categories. If you are here to actually give valuable advice and not misdirect people that are trying to figure out the industry you would clue me into what a good strategy is for entering a category with a similar LP / ad strategy - not rant about the question I asked.

Back to what I was trying to understand: What is the best way to get a good read on a competitors data and unseat them from their strategy if you don't recommend coming in with the same landing page?

UMMM. Do your fucking job? It's called online marketing, not copy and pasting. Fucking noobs are destroying this industry.

Think "gee what do I think will work"
Then do it 2 somewhat different ways.
Then split test.
Then do it again.

If you see a bunch of flogs in a niche and want to try one, just write your own. It's not that hard.

So in conclusion, go fuck yourself.

If you're stupid enough to ask then sure, I love idiots like you who completely rip a landing page and forget to change the affiliate link on the "#1 product" and remove the keyword tracking code. Free clicks, money, and campaign data, thanks asshole!

I'd be happy to cut you a check for $100k out of my profits.

Just PM me and send me your address, I mean you gotta give back right?

The problem is, you can't reproduce what your competition is doing. If you put up a different ad, your ctr will be different for the ad. Once something is changed, you can't reproduce his campaign.

Your best bet is go to the n00b section and read, itchy had a great post a few days back about how to get started in the industry. Questions like this won't be answered in the AM section...

now apologize for pissing everyone off and read the n00b section.

No bullshit, this is the method most the guys here use.

all those flogs are copied landing pages. it's hilarious when people talk about their dreams and goals of being a long term affiliate when flogs (or bridge pages) are their money makers and get their panties in a bunch when topics like this come up. if your lander/site can be easily duplicated by some dumbass 17 year old douchebag, you should be considering other options in your long term plan.

I like the ones who don't even change the image links until they realize they just sent $500 worth of clicks to Goatse's Money Blog.

Listen up douche bag, not everyone markets their shit through a flog. Some of us come up with ORIGINAL ideas, original ad copy etc. Until douche bags like you come along and copy it. I was just looking at some of my keywords tonight and noticed about 3-4 people copied my shit almost word for word. Fuck you guys!

hahahahaha Is this kid serious?

Must be a ppc-coach graduate. LOL

Yes it will trip an automatic review process, and once they verify it's a duplicate LP they will permanently ban you from Google; not just Adwords, but all of their services. Personally, I wouldn't risk it.

It's true. You won't even be able to use Google search anymore.

Copy the wrong person's and you'll be in a world of hurt, and not just a ban - some guys take their works very seriously, and will not hesitate to contact the PPC network they found it on, the server company, and the registrar.
