NEW Facebook Ads

Damn.. initial bids required to get ANY impressions going on a new campaign is out of control it seems. Bidding $1 or more for a traditionally mid-priced demographic doesn't even yield a single impression in any of the ads. Suggested min. bid was like $0.50.

I started at $0.70 and got squat. Upped to $1 and still getting squat. Is $2 the new norm lately?

Same here...just had to up my bid from 80 cents to a $1 to start getting a trickle of impressions. Even CPM bids are insanely high.

Okay, really noobish FB question: Whenever one of my ads is disapproved and it's not the URL that is the reason, there is no "Resubmit ad" or "Create similar ad" link. How the hell do I resubmit it then? Do I have to recreate it from scratch every time?

Yeppers. One of the great features about facefuck.

i think there is some weird impression limits going on. I am noticing that ads running in one country are "stealing" impressions from ads running in another (one goes up the other goes down).

Meaning, starting more campaigns in more demos does not give me more impressions. This makes no sense.

Is it possible facebook blocked all of my cards?

i got one account running using one credit card. doing very legit stuff.

i tried to open a 2ed account, it worked for a few days and got shut down cause my 2ed cc failed for a few days. since then when i try to pay my outstanding amount on the 2ed account, and now on new accounts i try to start, all my credit cards fail. even the one being used right now by the legit account and there it runs smooth...

could it be just facebook system failures for 2-3 days? or do you think they completely blacklisted my cc's? (which is weird cause there's that one that still works on the legit acc.).

Facebook won't give me impressions even at $4 cpc bids...

Well it's a new day and I thought I would give that campaign from yesterday another chance (see my previous post above).

I'm pretty sure now that some campaigns get flagged for some reason and thereby not allocated impressions.

This campaign is all legit, no cloaking, fairly broad demographic with suggested bids 0.50-0.60. Yet, with a $100,000 budget and $4 cpc bids, Facebook refuses to send any impressions its way.

At the moment, each ad in the campaign has less than 10 (ten!) impressions each, Lol... And that's with $4 bids.

I think I remember someone mentioned a while back in this thread that this can happen, and that the remedy is to ditch the campaign and recreate it.

Anyone else had to do this in order to get impressions on new campaigns?

Yeah. It's kinda hit and miss with facebook, but I can just pause the campaign and create a new one on an account and it'd start receiving impressions straight away at suggested bid price. Pisstake when you're promoting rebills, it takes a while to get it on and you gotta do it all again, but you said your campaign is legit so give it a go and see what happens.

Yes! I sometimes create campaigns that just fail from the start and won't get impressions. They will get a like 3 or 4 impressions per ad and never more. I just scratch the campaign and rebuild. I've had mild success just deleting those ads and creating more ads in that campaign. And of course, YMMV.

And if it still fails, try the same campaign on a new account.

change your demo/targetting..

Update; I'm now up to bidding $4 (!) cpc.

Campaign was started an hour and a half ago. Each ad has an average of 25 (not as in thousands...but twenty-five) impressions. Lol.... Good job, FB.

Ive ran bids up to $10 to see if Id get imps sometimes..and in many instances..nothing.
Just make a new ad or edit and change..

Hmmm, I seem to be getting manual approvals for duplicating ads. Been over 2 hours now and still pending. Has the auto approval for duplicates been canned?

How much is your bid for general Indonesian traffic? Mine is $0.04 CPC - $0.15. Used to be $0.01

How much is for Singaporean traffic? Mine is $0.2 ish. I used to get it for around $0.04

(for new ads)

This is getting absurd.. I scratched the previous campaign and recreated it.
This time I broke it into 3 campaigns to see if that would help.

Did it? Noooo.

After an hour or so I had ONE impression! That's right: 1. :D
So I upped my bid to $2.
13 impressions.

Upped it to $10.
Two and a half hours later, I have a total of like 300 impressions across all the ads. Completely laughable.

It really makes no sense why they don't want to send any impressions my way for these ads. I'm trying to hand them my money for fuck's sake.

In the meantime, I have created other campaigns that get swamped with tons of impressions and 1500 clicks an hour.

But these particular campaign just will not start.

Dude... they are going to be a billion dollar company in a couple years. They don't need your money right now. :)
