Two questions, facebook ads

Just started out doing FB ads and now i got two questions.

1. Let's say that facebook recommends a bid between 0.22-30 USD. What would be a good bid here to get enough impressions for a day budget on let's say 20 USD? I understand that there is no "right" answer, but approximately what could be enough to get as many impressions as possible and still fill my day budget up?

2. I have one pretty sucesfull campaign running where i got CTR% on 0.38 and the day budget were filled after 30 min but after 8 hours today there is still no more impressions, what could be the reason for that?

2. nope, for today i have no action what so ever. Reached my 20$ budget pretty quickly yesterday but today i have no new impressions or clicks. Or is it daily based on the clock in my homecountry sweden? Figured it was pacific time.

Nope, it says:

Today 0,00 $ USD

01-15 30,00 $ USD

And yeah i got enough refunds
 
For the second question i think the problem is your budget. If it's a successful campaign increase it to 1000 or more.
 
Yeah, if your campaign is profitable, pump as much cash into it as possible. At one point I was taking on cash from friends and family, and giving them a fair cut. It got to the point where I no longer needed them, but they kept trying to give me their money. Next thing you know I had about 10 people begging me to let them invest. It was sort of ridiculous. But yeah, pump as much as you're worth into it.

You could be hitting your daily spend limit too, not sure what they set it at when you first start..
 
ok, but i guess i have to increase the bids as well? Yesterday i had $0.50 now i lowered (as facebook suggested) to $0.12. Or can increasing the day budget make changes as well?

raised my bid 3 times "what it says" and now it's finally starting to get impressions. Thank you guys
 
First I have tried with Facebook ads promoting Facebook fans but I have never tried directs ads but after reading your post now I have to try to do direct landing page from facebook.

I was originally supposed to post in drunk thread since I'm so up on it. Thank god for iPhone automatic correct yext plus TOU CANT EVEN LOOK FOR THrEaDS oN A mOBILE DEVICE.

anyways, bid cpm not cpc. There is a big volume difference. Bur anywYs, those making huge cash off facebook are bidding cpm. Cpm beings huge volume, if I get a profitable demo on cpm (evenif it's 250000) it'll make you low 4 figures a day before it saturate.

Not to be a cock, it is easy to write profitable ads for cpm. That shut just saturated really quick so keep writing new ads.

This is obv something that differs depending on the demo and EPC, but just a ballpark figure.. how high do the CTR have to be, minimum? 0.1x? 0.2x?

and it'd be really nice (uh right we're on wickedfire) i meant dick-awesome if you'd say what a good CPM bid would be! i guess you can work with everything under $0.10 in CPC, but what's ok in CPM, everything under $0.3 or something like that?
