PPV Popups

I read Shady PPV Techniques Exposed and decided to install some adwares myself to get ideas on awesome landing pages.

I've installed
- Hotbar (LeadImpact's)
- Vomba (MediaTraffic's)
- Gamebound (DirectCPV's)
- Babylon (I installed Bablefish but it's showing as Babylon?) (DirectCPV's too, installed this one as well cuz I thought Gamebound wasn't working)

Can't get GameVance's setup to work.

I've installed them for a few days already and all I see is Hotbar's ads only. And all the ads that popped up sucks. If it's not a long form salesletter, then it's one that doesn't fit in the 750x550 and doesn't attract me whatsoever.

Sometimes I get a 750x550 popup but other times it's full page. Why?

And why aren't the other network's ads popping up?
 


Gamevance takes a while to start popping (I believe this is a trick to reduce the risk of you associating their ads with the toolbar download). Give it a week and it'll start popping like a motherfucker.

I believe that trafficvance dude said it takes 2 weeks to start popping up. He also mentioned that they only pop up 4 times a day per user. Guess this can be why everyones always like omg omg omg TrafficVance i luv you! Cause 4 ads per day per user vs 500000000000000000 ads per day leads to way less add blindness.

Other networks should learn. Must more sustainable model. I'm rambling now aren't I? Well, I'll stop; believe I'd love to continue, but I feel some diarrhea brewing, gotta run to the shitter.

PS. Stuff I have learned: Don't eat old pizza while chugging alot of coffee.
 
So you decided to install adware to steal others landing pages, and you can get gamevance to pop, so you came here to ask for help?

iliketurtles, if you want to help, just help. if not, don't ask, it's a pretty obvious thread anyway.
 
Just to play semi-devil's advocate, there's a big difference between doing competitive research by seeing what others in the industry are running and stealing lps or jacking copy word for word. Who here hasn't looked at the FB ad board to see what people are running or looked at ads on Google out of curiosity? Maybe even read a few swipe files or case studies on live ads for copywriting purposes? Installing adware to see what's going on for ideas and analysis is different than plagarism for commercial gain and I'm sure the majority of people have done similar things even if they don't admit it publically. You can make the argument you're costing advertisers money by seeing their popunders without ever intending to purchase the product, but that sort of comes with the territory of advertising cost and it's only going to come out to cents unless you somehow hit the same person's ads over and over and over.
 
ive had gamevance installed on my laptop for over a month now and i never seen an ad. I dunno if i did it wrong but I never seen shit.
 
I'm not doing PPV, but if I was I would definitely install adware from the major PPV companies. A lot of my unique ideas have occurred when I've seen a competitor's ad and thought "that's a good idea, but if they just changed X to Y it would convert a whole lot better".
 
yea stealing landing pages is wrong but working off of them is ok IMO.

you can always sneak some scripts into your LP in case someone steals it will redirect back to the original aff links and you get the profit anyways, you can also split 75/25 ect in hopes they keep running it and making you free money.
 
If you are having trouble with Gamevance/TrafficVance not working properly.
Please follow these steps:
1. Uninstall / Reinstall Gamevance if needed by clicking here http://www.gamevance.com/gamevance_uninstall.php
2. Make sure your default browser is one of our three acceptable browsers (Internet Explorer or Firefox)
3. Make sure your cookies in your browser are enabled
4. Make sure you have Flash player installed on your computer (if you need it, you can download it here, for free: Adobe - Adobe Flash Player).
These are all necessary components required to play our games.
 
We don't want to play the games. We want you to pop-up our competitors ads so we can look up their asses.
