Biz Ops are dead? Now what ?

Its true the days of copy and paste a $1.99 rebill newslander are drying up.
Its going to take a real marketer to bank.
I'm just looking at some of my friends and relatives trying to get me into some network marketing program (and they try fucking hard, like really annoying hard). Maybe we should be getting other people to sell for us (not necessarily full time affiliates) . Sell them, then get them to sell to their friends. Offer a split. The network marketing model has been around for ages, and still works.

No way dude... the less words the better. Personally, I won't buy anything online if the landing page has more than 100 words on it. Even offline it's the same. Whenever a salesperson starts talking to me, I tell them to shut the fuck up and start flashing images on index cards in front of my eyes. If the pictures are good I buy, if not I bail.

are you serious?

what about people who want to read long copy. want to know the facts. i say go long.

i doubt anyone who don't like copy over 100 words will close the browser at most they scan to the buy nao button.

Long copy huh?
Do those convert better than a heavy graphic landing page? I always thought these things looked super cheesy - but maybe that's why the work...

Also, yeah being an advertiser was more complicated than expected.. I spent $$$ on CRM (Infusion Soft), researched TMS, have multiple merchants (power pay, etc)... and in the end it never ended re: tracking, fraud, etc.

A couple people have mentioned ClickBank... is it really worth it? I looks a bit saturated... and every Joe puts up a long copy - how to get rich page. Do "real" publishers really use ClickBank?

Also, I haven't come across any new biz op offers that look interesting. ML is still running Robert Allen (Ivan Blog), Copeac doesn't look like they have anything with a high CPA, and Azoogle just has the guys who put keyboards and coffee on there lp's.

Is there a Biz Op out there that looks good? (or should I say... Anything out there converting?)

Long copy always works better. Always. Refer to anything written by David Ogilvy.

People on WF may bash ClickBank from time to time, but the fact is - it works, it really fucking works...if you have the right product. Remember "Fat Loss 4 Idiots"? Some pubs pushed upwards of $100,000/day on that offer.

His book (Og On AD) is outdated for the marketing guru's of today. Plus my favorite line is - "You can't be a Media Director Until you're at least 28".

I think some of the comments on turning it to a straight sale and going to clickbank would be smart. Doing a continuity model for bus opps is like taking money and setting it on fire, most people will cancel after they see whats behind the curtain.

Figure out how to monetize your data and dont expect to make a million dollars a month

P.S. "Real publishers" only push zip submits and berries - the rest are just posers.

That might be the case for you, but you're not the typical retarded American consumer.

Free trials used short copy as they didn't actually have to sell anything to the user - they were already sold thinking they were getting something for free so a long sales page wasn't necessary. (That being said one of the top teeth whitening offers for a while had a 6 page "qualification process".)

Email / Zip Submits target retards who don't need a sales pitch as they don't plan on buying anything as again they think they're getting free shit (...when they end up on an offer wall is a different story).

For a straight sale = long copy FTW.

Just look at the top clickbank offers, TruthAboutAbs for example does something like 20mil a year in sales, and you have to watch a shitty 20minute video before the Order button even appears.

LOL at the people that took this seriously. FFS.

Did you make all these products yourself? You clearly need to partner w someone who knows what they are doing.

Thanks fore all the comments.
MKrongel: Thanks for taking the time and giving real advice. I actually came across WF from one of your sales guys who contacted me about my "Internet Riches" offer. He told me to follow your comments during the merchant meltdown.
Thanks for keeping it real on this level, and helping.

kh1: Yeah - Created both programs. All original - it took forever!. I am open to any partnership.

At this point it looks like I am off to clickbank, do a straight sale, and change the landers to long copy - while generating leads to push my other future offers, or other biz ops.

If any of you want to partner, or can recommend an affiliate network for a straight sale... let me know.

10/10

I'm repping the first chance I get.

Rebills on Biz opps are a complete waste. The emotional attachment to the product is nill. You need to follow the path of the biz opp guru/whore crowd, create a solid continuity product: CD/DVD/Podcast, creative one time offers, and JV the shit out of everything, build your database and milk it every time one of those douchebags does a product launch.

The real money in biz opps isn't in the rebill, it's in the coaching leads.

Structure your pricing model to break even on the front end.
