This is a new twist on an old question...
I have found a domain on the Go Daddy expiring auctions that was backlinked pretty extensively (it housed a full blown site a while back) and then redirected to directory on the previous owner's main site. It's showing a false pagerank of PR4. I understand the PR is worthless, but if I snatch it up, keep the whois info the same and then redirect it to an internal page on one of my sites, do you all think there is a good chance Google will pass that power over to me? We're in the same vertical but there is a little bit of a variation (e.g. his links are for Cardiology and mine are Oncology).
If any of you have any experience with this, I would love to hear your thoughts.
