Hi,

I thought that I would share this method with my fellow
entrpreneurs. I don't know if I would call this sneaky or
not, but I think I definitely pushed the limits.

Believe it or not, using this method sometimes had
my clickthrough in the 80% range and one time I even
had a 200%! I don't know how that happened. Maybe
someone clicked on two ads.

Okay, here's how this method worked for me.

First I did it with an opt-in list so I don't know
if you want to do this or not.

1. I placed the adsense on the page the subscriber
sees after they hit submit.

On that page I had a brief paragraph about whatever
topic they signed up for. Only 3 to 4 lines. I also
had some pictures not promoting the adsense, but
related to the paragraph topic.

So the page was formatted in order from top to bottom like this:

- brief note saying "thank you for subscribing - please check email"
(small letters)

- Big headline of title of paragraph (i.e. What You Need To Know About(Whatever topic they signed up for)

- 3 or 4 lines of content and at the end of the content I wrote
this line:

"In this article we will try to give you some resources that you can use to help you..."

And then posted the adsense ads.

On some pages I used a date java script counter and titled it:
"Top 4 (Niche) Resources for (date)

And the script updated automatically everyday.

The result? Insane clickthroughs and higher percentages of ads.
In some markets I could get $1 a click. It was not uncommon for
one page to make me $100-$170 bucks in a day.

I have an example here:
What You Need To KNow About Forex Trading
(All ads have been removed)

Feel free to copy the template and use it to your own advantage.

Not once did I get in trouble with Google. As a matter of fact
I noticed a lot of my new sites that I did this with got indexed
a whole lot faster.

Okay. I hope that is something you can use. I like using this
method because it's not salesy. It may not make the most money,
but it can generate a lot of profit in the right niche.

Hope you enjoyed it.

James

I hope you enjoy it while it lasts:
Ad Placement AdSense offers a number of ad formats and advertising products. Publishers are encouraged to experiment with a variety of placements, provided the following policies are respected:
  • Up to three ad units may be displayed on each page.
  • A maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed on a page.
  • Up to three link units may also be placed on each page.
  • Up to three referral units may be displayed on a page, in addition to the ad units, search boxes, and link units specified above.
  • AdSense for search results pages may show only a single ad link unit in addition to the ads Google serves with the search results. No other ads may be displayed on your search results page.
  • No Google ad or Google search box may be displayed in a pop-up, pop-under, or in an email.
  • Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads.
  • No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.
  • No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant.
A confirmation page is a non-content page so you're violating Google's TOS doing your sneaky method.

suppose if it works you can through another service provider add in there; adtoll/bidvertiser etc etc

I work for Google. Thank you for informing us of your pages. We will of course have to review your pages and any income you have that has not been paid to you yet.

Sincerely,

James Drake
