So I talked to Tomar about his offers and I have to fill these out:

we need from you
1) URL:-
2) Anchor Text:-
3) Desc:-
4) Email for submission use:-
5) Keywords:-
6) owner name you want:-
7) Categories:-

The URL is straightforward, and owner name would be my name I assume? As for categories, would I put down 'weight loss' if I were campaigning diet pills, for example? And for email, I'm assuming I put my email address?

I'm kind of stuck on what to put for anchor text, desc., and keywords though. Anyone willing to help me out?

Thanks

For anchor text, desc, keywords you fill those out with words that you want to rank for in SE's. The desc should be 1 or 2 sentences that summarizes your site but also includes a few of your keywords.

Anchor text is the text used for the link back to your site, so obviously use a keyword or two here.

Or coming from someone who does SEO things for a living I would say don't waste your money buying links on a directory. You are better off buying an in-text link from a blog in your niche that has the same PR, it will be more expensive but will actually do something for you.

I have no idea what you just said, although I appreciate the opinion and would like to know more.

Could you please elaborate? So you're saying I should pay someone who has a highly successful blog in my niche? Sorry, I'm obviously a noob.

I am saying find blogs in your niche that are PR2 and above. Ask them how much it would cost to buy a link in the text of one of their articles that is your keyword or if you can pay monthly for a link on their homepage that is also in-text but static. What I mean is a directory submission is not worth your money in 90% of cases. The rule with directories that I use if I am going to pay is they have to be PR5 homepage, at least PR1 on the page I am getting my link, and the directory must be at least 3 years old. There are so many shit directories that stay up for a year then disappear and never pass much link juice anyways.
