What do you do when the user is using Firefox and cant see my adsense ads? Are you rotating the ads with another PPC affiliate? If so which ones do you recommend?

Thx

99% of the people using 3rd tier to find information will not have these plugins and probably will not even have firefox. The only people that will see your site with ads disabled will be your competition. Don't sweat the small stuff.

there are extensions to filter out ads

less than 20% of the world has Firefox
less than 20% of that 20% has Adblock extensions
less than 1% of those people use 3rd tier search engines to look for stuff

I'm pulling those numbers out of my ass, but you get the point.

Check your arbitrage logs, something like 98% of the traffic is IE

wow, haven't posted for a while...but I agree. generally firefox users are more computer savvy to begin with. Furthermore, the ones that use the ad blocks and filters are pretty computer savvy and have their own techniques of searching for things. Most of them, will even stay away from the PPC ads in general(not only 3rd tier engines)...afterall, PPC ads are just ads to them

I know most people dont use it but I submit articles to digg the odd time which get me a lot of reoccuring traffic but the traffic is always firefox and I know they are blocking the ads with adblocker. It has been 0% CTR for the longest time.

You can always add some "noscript" tags and a backup banner in place... signup for some affiliate program via cj.com, linkshare, etc.

I'm not sure what Google says about adding "noscript" content immediately before or after their AdSense code to serve an alternate ad if the user has Javascript turned off.

I don't use an AdSense blocker, so I don't know if this would work, but for users with JavaScript turned off, it's an idea.

I would bet that the majority of Digg users are much more tech savy. The tech savy ones ...including online marketers are less likely to click adsense ads.
