Ok, the newbie challenge finally got me started, and I'm experimenting with a few of my hobbies as autoblogs. Got wordpress and everything setup, got my autoblog running, and now I have an adsense account. But no matter what I do, I can't get the adsense ads to show up! Is there a specified amount of time after you set up the account that you have to wait for ads to appear? I'm not even getting the public service ads by the way. I've tried several plugins and even just adding the code directly in a text widget on my sidebar to no avail. what am I doing wrong?

Are you using a plug-in to to install your Adsense? Are you using adsense-deluxe? It's a WP plug-in I'd suggest trying with that if you haven't yet. I don't know much about programming so I can't help you much, but I've never had problems installing Adsense using that plug-in.
This isn't a hosted WP blog, is it? If so, that could be your problem right there (script restrictions).
I figured it out late last night. My ads were there the whole time, I just couldn't see them on my pc. If anybody's interested check the HOSTS file in windows/system32/etc/ and there's a bunch of sites there that you won't be able to see. Somehow the google ad server got in there, as well as a bunch of other sites that I was wondering why I never could see.
