AdSense bans

Alright, I've seen all the posts about being banned, and I have a question. If I create a humor site about the horses that were outside the Ford Theater on the night Lincoln was assassinated, optimize the site for "Ford Mustangs," and create a bunch of (hopefully funny) original copy about the horses, could my account be banned for adding AdSense ads?

Obviously, this isn't the niche I'm looking at. There's not a lot to be said about horses outside of the Ford Theater. But you get the idea.

Okay, there's some misdirection involved, but there's no attempt to defraud; just a little fun and games. I'd hope that the pucker butts haven't taken over Google, but I'd like to avoid being banned if I can. So, what's the consensus?

I don't think you have to worry about stuff like that. Here's the kind of thing I think they would ban for:

You put up a bunch of Youtube videos in Chinese and direct viewers to click on a link next to the video. When they reach the linked page all they see above the fold is adsense ads written in English, so they don't know what they are and just click intuitively. You're sending crap traffic not interested in the advertiser. People who get banned are the people who think they're so clever outsmarting the system with tricks. If you read sites like Black Hat World they recommend all these stupid tricks that can get you banned. If you're writing legit content and doing things the right way don't worry.

Be aware that you can open an LLC and get an Adsense account for the LLC. So if you get banned and it's a big deal for your sites, you can get another one. But it shouldn't be a problem.

Nah, you would never get banned for that. Worst that would happen is you might get ads that actually have to do with horses and stuff.

For a blackhat idea, that isn't half bad. Unethical for sure, but creative!

Okay, then, I'll give it a shot. Like the idea about the LLC, but think I'll hold it in reserve for if and when I get banned for something.

Good luck with that.
Also remember that adsense has other alternatives, and usually they are better than the penies you get from adsense.

Switch it to Japanese not Chinese, and I did do it. But I was smart enough to switch it from Adsense to a parked domain really quick. I had like a fucking 80% CTR or something, for the few hours I had Adsense on it.
