I have a website that I'm selling a product on, it's not unique, it's one of those that everybody is selling them at the same price.

Would it effect my conversions negatively if I have adsense on this site, these ads are advertising the same product I am.

I have them at the bottom of the page, I figure if they read the landing page and it doesn't sell, then instead of clicking back maybe they'll just click one of those google ads?

It's difficult to guess, and I reckon the only way to test it is to try it out.

My first instinct is that contextual ads on a product page shows no confidence on the product on the behalf of the buyer. But if the numbers show it works, then it doesn't really matter what I think.

Why not to improve LP quality etc? You 're sending potential customers to your concurrents.

Tested it on several shopping sites and wouldn't ever do it again. If you can't sell the product, something is wrong with your site or the way your advertise it...and sending people to competitors isn't a solution.

The quality of the landing page is really good, I bought it here at somebody from WF they are running buylandingpages.com . I'm working on trying to get traffic with backlinks, I'm running a PPC campaign at this time. My conversion rate is 1.5% I'm trying to improve this. I'm trying to learn SEO, I'm getting backlinks, my pagerank is 0. I'm thinking to get a page built for every keyword, but dont' know if that will help since my content wouldn't be unique, except for replacing some general words with the keyword.

I reckon I seen some LP somewhere with adsense on it. Same as your case, at the bottom of the page. I guess you should do alot of testing to see how good the results is...and I guess you can use split testing method for this...
