Is there a way to somehow tell Google Adsense what type of ads to display?

We haven't got many posts on our blog so it doesn't display relevant ones, anyway to change that?

Place relevant keywords into your blog entries. This is how AdSense detects what types of ads to display.

You know that you need to have some content on your blog or website, right. That's the rules. So don't put any AdSense until you have some content.
