Hey all,

I typically set my Adwords campaigns to show all ads as quickly as possible, rather than having them be spaced out throughout the day.

But I wonder - does the timing of my ad placements affect conversions? For instance, I max out the number of placements around 2:00 pm on most days, and I don't get more from Google after that until the next day.

Perhaps if my ads were showing in the late afternoon, my conversion rate would be different.

Have you found this to be the case with your ad campaigns? When you all engage in ad testing, do you also test the time at which the ads are showing, to see if conversions vary? Would be interested to see what you all say.

Thanks very much to all!

Depending on the offer, it definitely makes a difference. Run your campaigns 24x7 for a week (2 weeks would probably be best), and use p202 hourly/daily overview to see if there are any times when conversions are significantly lower.

If you have the money to spend and your campaign is profitable, select show ads as quickly as possible and crank up your budget for max impressions then trim the days/hours when your data tells you to.

What do you mean you max out the number of placements? AFAIK there isn't a placement limit.

Show ads as quickly as possible what he means

And yes time can effect conversions, so can day.

Also, if you want to dig even deeper GEO can effect conversions. I sometimes find states that bomb on a consistant basis.
