Anyone attend Affiliate Convention in LA? If so, how was it? Should I attend the next one in Colorado?

Thanks,

Affiliate Convention Denver Review

Overall, I'd rate the conference a 6/10. There were an assload of beginners, old people, and ebook/clickbank geeks. That in and of itself made the conference pretty intolerable, but thanks to a few hardcore workaholic friends, I got a lot out of the conference and depending on the session content, may attend the next Affiliate Convention, scheduled for December 3rd-6th in Los Angeles, California.

I went to two sessions, each for 10 mins. One session, the guy did not show up. I was so surprised that the speakers are JUST pimping their companies/affiliate programs for the first 10 minutes so I left.

And, very limited number of booths.

No worth driving 2 miles and paying $24 for parking.

Went for two nights and actually took some value from it, less affiliates like Jason said... more opportunity for those of us there and willing to dig for it. Aside from the long ass flight from FL id say it was worth it.

I was there as well, I had a lot of fun personally. I went to a few of the sessions and I would have to agree that some of them seemed a bit like a pitch fest.

I'll be writing a blog post about it sometime this week hopefully, but overall I had a fun experience. I didn't go for the sessions really, I was there mainly to meet up with people I work with. I chilled with NDemand a lot, and met up with a few other people I work with.

I ended up being the one to win the Lakers tickets being given away so the fact that I got courtside Lakers tickets may have biased how much fun I had :P. The session that I would say was worth going to was Tim Ash's landing page session - if for nothing else than the fact that he was pretty hilarious.

Edit: I guess I failed to answer the question of if it's worth it. If you are there strictly to go to sessions and try to learn something then no it's not. However if you want to network with people and have some fun then yes it is.

If you are a total noob and you want to hear a bunch of people pimp their own businesses all day in sessions, then go. If you want to learn anything worthwhile or network with anybody worth a damn, then go to Affiliate Summit. I only went to the Denver one because I live here, I would never travel to go to that show.

wasn't that bad. some panels were ok. nothing advanced. good network players though. I was surprised by those that showed up. To sum up, good networking opp.
