Since this is my first time going, would this be a beneficial event for a very new affiliate manager to try and network with possible affiliates?

I'm guessing this will be a very very valuable event to go to as a new AM. I haven't been able to make it to one of them yet (still in school), but I'm hoping to get to one next year.

I'm sure everyone from XY7 will be there (we're based in Vegas)

Yes Affiliate Summit is THE place to be for both affiliates and affiliate managers. As a new AM, the education you'll get is worth it's weight in gold.

FYI WebmasterWorld PubCon is in Vegas in November. They sometimes have some good affiliate sessions and tons of strong affiliates go to that conference. But affiliates are harder to find and hook up with.
