Hi all...

I made 7 new blogs about 10 days ago and linked them up from my old blogs and also added them to about 15 social bookmarking sites.

I can now see results when I look in yahoo site explorer - I can actually see backlinks from 2 of the SB sites along with my old blogs.

But when I search for the url in yahoo it says no results found so am I indexed by yahoo yet or not?

thanks in advance. Nice to see some SB sites in the backlinks finally -_-

A backlink is a link from another site to yours.

A search result is a page on your domain that the search engine has matched to the keyword being searched.

Backlinks "help" the SE identify the content on the page the link points to. Just because you drop a link on another site, doesn't mean the SE is going to index it or associate it with a keyword.

To find out which pages your domain has indexed, do a search like this "site:domain.com" (no quotes)

When posting blogs, make sure you have an auto sitemap. Also feel free to throw em up on twitter, digg, and a host of other social media sites.

Ahh ok thanks just noticed they all say no pages in yahoo site explorer - it shows inlinks but no pages so I guess they aren't indexed yet.

These blogs are all on blogger - does that mean they have an auto sitemap?

I don't seem to be having any problem getting all the pages indexed in google as they are now... interesting thing though:

10 days ago I made 3 new blogs and did 3 entries on them right away. Only the index page is indexed in google for these 3.

7 days ago I made 4 new blogs and did only 1 entry on them. Yesterday afternoon I did 2 entries on each of these 4 blogs and today ALL of the pages on all 4 domains are indexed by google.

I think I need to do a fresh entry in my first 3 blogs in order to get all the pages indexed...

interesting.

To view indexed pages, use "site:" in your query (site:wickedfire.com)
To view links, use "link:" in your query.
