I see ordered items (not the ones I have links for).

however no earnings. is this normal ?

They may also compare the IP address you purchased with to all the IP addresses you've ever used to login to your affiliate account. Then of course they know you purchased using your own affiliate links. I know the eBay Partner Network does this kind of logging. I've heard of them shutting down accounts because a person logged in to check stats from another country while on vacation. i.e. eBay thought an out of country affiliate was pretending to be from the USA. Sneaky bastards!

three more questions:

1) How do you earn up to 15% ? Do you have to meet a certain target ? I am @ 6% now.

2) If a person clicks on my amazon affiliate link, how long is the cookie on their computer ?

3) When they buy something , do I keep earning off their purchases as long as my affiliate cookie is on their computer or until they click on another affiliate's link ? Is my affiliate link no longer valid when they make a purchase ?

1.) 15% is only for certain divisions. From what I know, 15% can be achieved from the Endless.com shoe/accessory division of Amazon. Everything else is tiered from 4%-8.5%

2.) 24 hours

3.) I assume a new affiliate link will replace your cookied one. After 24 hours, it doesn't matter. Most affiliates find that if they don't purchase it in 24 hours, they probably won't purchase anyway. The real way people rack up the commissions is when people buy a ton of items at once.

I also believe that this affiliate program is an uphill battle. Short 24 hour cookie, tiny commissions on tons of small ticket items. You need to push major volume if you want to break 5k/month.
