So on Saturday I purchased $25 worth of advertising from StumpleUpon, which is sent from my paypal account. But so far it has yet to register in either my bank account or on StumbleUpon so I can't start running ads! Is this normal for it to take a couple of days to process?

I can't believe they only charge .05 cents per visitor and they let you have highly targeted advertising. For instance, the campaigns I'm about to run only show to males interested in web development between the ages of 18 to 35! It seems too good to be true, is it?

It can't be much worse than spending $78 on Google Ads for about 100 clicks only to make three referrals to Casale Media, can it?

Holy crap, thanks for the heads up, I'm in. Now imagine 5 cent visits PLUS stumblers rating your site and adding it to their blog and pages via the toolbar! Blam-o! Viral hits.

It depends on how you paid through paypal, If you used credit cards it is usually fairly quick. It does how ever take a couple days to purchase an echeck from your account. How you can check the status is go to history and it will show all pending transactions and the expected clear date.

I bought $20 worth awhile back to test. Now I'm still getting free viral traffic from Stumblers that found my site.

Since I don't sell anything and am a resource and destination site it's hard for me to tell how good the traffic is. But I may buy more at 5 cents a visitor for me it's worth it.

5starAffiliates you have the exact same setup I do. Your model is based around referrals right? Why can't you track the # of referrals based on how much extra traffic you're getting?

Also, would you want to swap links with my Publisher Aid site?

i think its better for viral and link bait type stuff, or hyping general humor sites or so on that will appeal to a mass audience :)

Organic traffic from stumbleupon does not really end in clicks for adverts nowadsys. Unless you really have something to capture their interest, they take one quick look and move on.

Nope. I don't get paid commissions. I'm a consultant and I charge a monthly retainer for merchants that advertise on my site and that I do PR for. None of my clients track my referrals. I represent about 50 total merchants that are all on different networks, so I have no way to tell how many affiliates join my client's programs.

I guess I could try to track traffic quality based on how many visitors join my forum and subscribe to my blog but I don't really know of a way to do that either.
