Yes, happened to me a couple of times. I closed the browser and retried. It worked.

Usually, its a browser issue. You just have to refresh it

That would be kind of the opposite of an "internal" server error. The two most common reasons for an Error 500, is 1) a bad .htaccess or other server configuration 2) Server hit it's memory cap for a moment or ran out of space.

try switching the http to https.. that worked quite well for me
