Does anyone have an experience with promoting sports products - equipment or services?

I saw many such programs lately even in CB - and I was wondering how good is sports as a vertical?

Might want to look at Commission Junction.

They have a whole category dedicated to sports related products for you to promote.

Word of advice: Leave it alone if you don't know about it.
I promote a couple of cycling products through CJ, do the occasional sale from it (which is all you need, when commission is 8% on a 4 figure product). I've tried to promote other stuff, thinking to myself how easy the cycling shit was... except I knew SFA about the other sports I was promoting, and they just ended up wasting me a few hundred dollars in ad spend.
