Anyone have problems with HostGator?

So it seems to be well liked here and I decided to get my first VPS with them. I started with the level one. I wanted to keep it inexpensive for now. Well it ended up I couldnt ssh into the server from bash or virtuozzo's client because the password was being rejected even though the tech help said they could get in and I could do it the day before myself. Well I said fuck it I want cpanel anyway. I dont have time to command line this shit all the time, so I upgraded. I come back and now apparently WHM, which sets up cpanel, isnt installed, even though I got the email with the info saying it was ready to go. Oh, and I was overcharged, but that was taken care of quickly.

Is this a fluke or should I expect shit like this from them?

F%$K them. i have been hosting with another provider for 5 years without a hitch. then i thought lets distribute my new sites to a new host. since these are all new sites which am prolly gonna flip anyway, i thought of hostgator.

took their baby plan shared hosting. server went down the very first day while i was setting up wodpress. During last 4 days, its been down atleast for 6 hours.

Darn didnt know shared hosting is that bad lol. I have 3 servers with imountain, 1 dedi and 2 shared. 2 shared are actually as good as VPS, strong and super fast. It can take upto 15 sites at once and stable.

hostgator retards cant even handle a new wordpress installation. Screw them
