Is anyone running credit report offers here? namely creditreport.com and doing it legit? meaning no shady craigslist, shady ppv etc. Just a simple landing page promoting credit reports?

I've been testing the hell out of credit report on search lately and nothing I've tried is working. Like straight up no leads at all. I talked to my AM and he says he will look into it and gets back to me and says basically "oh you did get 2 leads a couple of days ago but they never showed up because there was a tracking problem". I started wondering why they wouldn't show up on my account, but they had to go directly to the advertiser to ask if I got leads. After questioning them I basically got 2 extra leads to get me to test again.

Well by that time I had probably tested 4 different variations of landing pages so i reverted back to the one I thought was the one that got the leads. 2 weeks later I haven't gotten a single lead after sending about 300 click throughs to the advertisers page, while testing about 3 more different landing pages.

My landing pages get 40-60% click through rates so people are interested when they leave my LP, but nothing ever happens. So I am trying to figure out if anyone else out there is running Credit Reports legit through search and is doing good with it (10-20% conversion rate). Im trying to figure out if im getting screwed here or maybe all of my LPs just blow or arent doing a good enough job. I just find it pretty damn interesting that when I bring up a problem and they look into it they actually find missing leads. That makes me wonder if theres something going on. Or maybe something has changed since i last pushed credit reports which was about 6 months ago. I was killing it back then, but it was through a different traffic source. Anyone have any ideas?

I could NOT get conversions to save my life. Up until a few months ago I was heavily into some financial niches, and was running into the same issues you are - tons of click-throughs, but no conversions.

When push comes to shove, I think people want a truly "free" credit report and just back out (or freak out) after seeing they have to input their credit card numbers for a 30 day trial.

Yea all this time I thought the best benefit to promote was the free part and I thought it would do better than other CR offers since you don't have to pay anything to start the trial, But you're right. Promoting the free idea then asking for a credit card is a red flag. I had some ideas in mind that I was going to test once I got a solid LP so I think ill go ahead try those and change my whole approach.

Thanks for your input +rep
