I sell one product online and reach out to marketing channels via AdWords and SEO. I have some data on where most customers are coming from and was wondering if anyone had any experience with sending ads via flyers?

I was wondering is that even worth a shot? How would I be able to obtain more likely lead addresses to send it to?

Appreciate any tips! :xmas-smiley-022:

It's best for you to try a small test yourself. Allocate a small budget towards a flyer campaign, with some sort of method to track, and see if you generate any leads from your efforts.

Thats a really good idea, any idea or suggestions how I could get a list of address leads that maybe more fitting to my product? For example if I want to mostly advertise to african american mothers?

Yes.

One of my very first websites was a debt lead gen site. I would get like $30 per valid lead. CoolStoryFaggot.bmp

I targeted mainly minorities and college kids in debt.

Basically you have to go where your target lives and put your flyers up and advertise.

Some advice I can offer you from my IRL flyer marketing experience:
~ Hit up low income (HUD) apartment complexes. They will typically all have a central mailbox building that has all the mailboxes for the entire complex. Put your flyers in this area. People come here everyday to check their mail and will see your flyers/ads. I typically would drive around late night (1am) and do this so no one would see me putting them up. I would circle back twice a month to see if they were taken down yet and if so, put a new one up.

~ College campuses. You can just roll up on any campus and walk around and put your flyers inside their buildings. Most of the buildings will have cork bulletin boards somewhere on the 1st floor and just put your shit there. If you get questioned by an authority figure, just tell them you're walking around or just meeting up with a friend. Simple paper flyers with the silly rip off tags actually work decently.

~ Washaterias//Laundrymats. Most of these are open 24/7 and unattended. Just roll up late night and put some of your flyers up. Circle back every 2 weeks and restock missing flyers.

~ Shitty grocery stores. I'm talking Walmart, Dollar General, and any local no name grocery store that accepts EBT food stamps. Walk in and put your flyers on their corkboards and leave.

Supplies you need:
- Staple Gun
- Tape
- Lots of paper flyers
- Laminated binder pages.. If your flyer is going to be exposed to weather, just slip the flyer into one of these and staple that bitch.

But ya, thats how I made some money off broke people using flyers. Ended up being too much work for amount of money it was making so it would be easier for you to pay some lil kid to go do all of this for you.

Thanks so much for this, incredibly useful info! Im encouraged to try it out, however I was wondering did you ever try mailing the flyers to their homes as well? If so, did you just mail it to everyone in a certain area or did you buy a list kinda thing? Appreciate your tips!

It's definitely worth a shot. In some cases it may work out even better than online promotion. Just make sure that the quality of your flyers is good

good luck! :)

Would you say you made more than $20/hour doing this? I live in a huge city with a ton of low-mid income people, so it seems like this could be a decent thing to test out. There are probably 1000 laundromats here. I could hit up 1000 before I circle back to the first.

How big was the area you were doing this in? Did you have only a few washaterias/WalMarts/colleges to choose from?
