I took so long to decide to go to ASW or not that I was too late to get the full conference pass. As such I have the exhibit hall pass.

Anyways, I'm pretty nervous about going. ie by myself. I want to look around and talk and such - but I'm not sure what exhibitor would be okay with talking to me without considering it a waste of time. I'm not a fantastic marketer like most here. :anon.sml: I'm on the learning curve. I got lucky last year and made a fairly big chunk of change - that kind of catipolted (sp) me into the industry.

I guess the point of my blatherings is : Is there anything specific I should be going to look at- nice people who don't mind semi-newbs? - or someone who wouldnt mind a tag along as they make their rounds?

Cheers!

Everyone is very laid back at the conferences, i am sure people will talk to you as you walk through the exhibit hall, you might actually start to get tired of talking to people. The show floor is a constant buzz, if you see an exhibitor you want to learn more about walk up to their booth someone will approach you and break the ice.

Cecelia: Without ever having been to an Affiliate Summit, I can't say for sure, but I'd be willing to bet that every affiliate company there will be happy to talk to you and help you learn.

Look at it this way, they have more to gain from it than you do. By taking a few minutes and talking with you they have a chance to gain a new affiliate. By taking a few more minutes, they have a chance to gain a producer. I'm sure you'll find everyone very willing to sit down and answer any of your questions.

Are you going to the Copeac party?

Yes i agree.... the networks have much to gain from you Especially since oyu say u are some what new... if the can rope you in ... i mean get you to join their quality network they can get your for the small price of now then later when they would have to payout massive amounts for leads to pull you away from another network....

I look at it this way as i would say i am a good earner... and they are always asking me what offers you run on other networks ... usually its offers they don't have but one key is don't ever let them know you are 100% with them as that way they have no reason to give you extra bumps on top of what you have... plus i am with several networks to "shop" around and compare payout prices you would be surprised how the payouts differ.

There will be quite a few members at the Copeac booth. Everyone at the show is pretty laid back, and their happy to talk to anyone and everyone.

Nah - not going to any of the parties - Crowds freak me out - and I'm pregnant so I can't drink to loosen up anyways ^_^

Thanks for the advice. I'll see what happens.

he said the copeac booth, not party. They have a few booths in the exibit hall, i know ill be hangin over there a little to meat everyone, stop by!
(i dont know if this is too personal but how far along are you?)

Don't worry about "being a waste of time." As I recall the story from Shoemoney, the first conference he went to he went to he had to borrow money just to make it there, and look where he is now.

Cecilia, I sent you a PM... I'm knocked up too (LOL) about 6 months along so no hard partying for me either. I am tagging along with my hubby but he'll be busy the entire time, so let me know if you want to meet up!

Some of you worry faaar too much. Swing by the Copeac booth for our WF tshirts, and you'll soon see people you can approach and talk to. Everyone is pretty friendly at these things (except me, depending on how much sleep I've had or how much Adderall I'm on -- seriously.) and very approachable. Don't be afraid of anyone, what are they going to do, say something weird to you? Big whoop. Be a man about it, even if you are a woman.

If you see a guy that looks like Conan O'Brien, that's Brandon (co-owner of WF), and he likes to talk to everyone, especially about life as a kid in the early 70's. ;)

Haha, fucker!

Actually, I'll be easy to spot because I'll be dressed just like my avatar.

so, we have two pregnant members? That really surprises me, I hope that reading wf doesn't affect the babies. They might come out saying fucktard.
