I'm selling a product on Clickbank and I want to make it more affiliate friendly so that more affiliates will want to promote it.

Is there anything I can do on my part to not scare away affiliates? I've heard that having a outgoing links is a no-no, and so is having a squeeze page?

What factors do affiliates take into consideration when choosing a product to promote?

What would make an affiliate choose one product over the other?

in my honest opinion, it just has to be a solid product with good graivity. since yours is a brand new product, it just has to be something ppl would want... i dont know anything else that can be said? website should look professional...

I think if you were able to provide marketing data (such as keyword lists with EPCs) that would make the affiliate feel as if he/she is taking less of a risk with promoting your site.

But it's pretty hard to tell unless I know the niche.

If it's a book on getting rich quick, or on making money online, just scrap the whole thing.
Seriously. Unless you've spent years studying consumer psych, you're simply not going to be able to generate the kind of attention, or create the sort of copy that does it for you... and if you can't SEO the crap out of it yourself then affiliates aren't exactly likely to think it's a quality product.

Now, if it's in some other sort of area, then attracting peopel to it really depends on the area it's in, and what angle you're trying to pull.
