Autoblog foundation still a good idea?

Hi All-

I have been reading through nickycakes guide as well as some stuff from Eli over at bluehat and had a question regarding the autoblog, feedblog, or review site foundation. Are these techniques still valid? All of the discussion and information I can find is from years ago. If these techniques are still all good, can someone point me to a decent wordpress plugin for making these pages?
 


In my opinion the problem with autoblogs begins right on their concept, which is to scrap duplicate content instead of adding value.
Google is aware of that, and as time goes by they will tackle even more on these kind of sites.
So, IMHO it's not worth it to waste your time with autoblogs.
 
Autoblogs is still worth it if you know what you are doing..

a lot of people have the impression that auto blogs are just blogs that you can leave them alone and they will generate content by scrapping articles from other people's side.. but the trick is to still treat them like your own site, i.e editing the titles to be keyword targetted, adding different images etc..
 
I think I'm going to go the original content route. Any tips on keyword selection?

You can spin it until its unique.
You still need to work on it for it to grow.
Otherwise it's just another autoblog.
