Autoresponder?

Did a search.. done some looking around online..
I bought the EasyAdPoster for CL.. and i'm still waiting for that to be delivered.
I know the next step would be an autoresponder, but from what i've seen.. theres a ton, and they vary in price from like 30$ all the way up to like 300+

Can anyone suggest either a free or cheap solution?

Getresponse isnt bad, like $18/mo, gets the job done

I've heard of people using vacation response on gmail...
Seems too easy... I mean if that worked why even bother paying for one?

Autoresponders can be set up to send out a series of messages, vacation settings will only respond to individual e's. That's the major difference but there are probably others. Most marketers believe that it takes numerous contacts in order to gain a conversion and that's why they use the autoresponders.

Makes a ton of sense....
Now.. Like I said.. I'm working with CL, and I know when you receive a response to a posting, the address it comes from is a weird CL email string.. I've heard talks of having multiple emails route to one, and it's somehow done like that..
Anyone care to elaborate?

(again, done searching, but havent found a definite answer!)
