Okay, so I've done everything. I have my adwords account set up but havent provided the billing info yet so it hasnt started.

Website is up, blog is posted, and my products have links. Now this is where I'm so damn confused. I'm with ads4dough and I sign in and go to the campaigns page. Okay, I've found a few campaigns I want to run, so I click on them. It opens up saying preview, view pixels, blah blah and view creatives.

So I click on view creatives and then open the 'links' tab and it shows me a url with three boxes below it saying subid1 subid2 and subid3. So I put in the number '1' in the subid1 box and leave the other two blank. Then, I copy the url above and use that as the url for my links on my landing page.

Is this how it's done?

So if someone were to go to my landing page and click on the link and the advertisement pops up and they fill it out, it gets recorded as MY campaign and I get the money?

Yeah, it will get recorded as your campaign and you will be credited provided you have used your affiliate link. You might want to think about using some tracking software so that you can track to subid resolution. I'm no expert, but the more you track the better you can tweak your campaign.

I am using Prosper202 and from what I've read here a lot of others are as well.

Okay cool, so I've done everything right with the URLs by clicking on the campaign --> view creatives --> links --> copy paste url ?

And I read nickycake's guide so I actually have a tracking202 account, but I have no idea in hell how to use or incorporate it.

Now I have another question... when I was setting up my adwords campaign, I put in a lotttttt of keywords, like 70 keywords and I went to google's traffic estimator and put in all the keywords and I'm just floored.

Estimated cost per day : $7,190 - $13, 110 LOL. So obviously I'm doing something wrong because I have too many keywords, and some of them are quite vague.

I've tried to be very specific with quite a few by using long tail keywords that are specific to certain states and cities, but those don't have very high estimated clicks.

So basically, since I set aside $100 as my budget, does that mean if someone clicks on my ad and the CPC is, say, $2, then after 50 people ahve clicked on that ad that my budget has run out and adwords will no longer post my advertisement? Is that how it works?

how many keywords do you guys use, in general?

Yeah, you want to copy and paste the URL from your affiliate account. If you are using tracking 202 you want to make sure to get the subid query string parameter so your subids can be tracked.

I am using 123 KWs split across 15 ad groups. I have been very careful to try to get mostly long tails as opposed to more general KWs. I realize that my click count will be lower, but hopefully the traffic and clicks will be more targeted. I am also setting the match type to exact.

Yes, this is exactly what it means. Once your daily budget has been met then your ad will not be displayed anymore. I would recommend starting out with a campaign where you can get cheaper traffic to begin with. If you are spending $2 a click right off the bat without having the basics down, you could blow a load of money really quick.

As far as how many keywords other people use, it really depends. You can have a successful campaign with only 5 keywords or it might take thousands, each offer / niche is different.

oh darn... i just started my ad campaign about 30 minutes ago and it has about 20 KW, one or two of them are expensive ones that are expected to get lots of hits, but then again, I suspect that the people searching these big hit KWs are in the 'buy' market...

ive put in 50 bucks as of now and redeemed a $75 coupon.. so we'll see what happens.
