Sick and tired of chasing the algo, any recommendations on where to get started with PPC? I'm thinking of reading a book but would love to hear how others got started.

I've found the Google content network is a good starting point - using images. Find the type of images that get clicked (often the uglier the better. red border, blue text, big arrows) and then lead them into an auto-responder series so you get more than one bite at the cherry.

With the content network you need to spend a lot of time culling the pages that don't convert and finding new target urls. Traffic is often the issue though once you start optimising a campaign.

1) Study the free material Google provides to become an AdWords Certified Individual.

2) AdWords for Dummies by Howie Jacobson will help you conceptualize how to setup your account and expand on successful campaigns.

3) Ultimate Guide to Google AdWords by Perry Marshall was good for high level strategy, but it's probably too advanced for a beginner.

Good Luck!

Evilc thanks for the book mention, never though about becoming certified. Think I'll tackle this first then see where to takes me.

I would definitely stick to Adwords. I've tried all the other "cheaper" alternatives like 7search, etc... complete waste of time. maybe they work for certain offers, but I tried them on a diverse list of offers. Google traffic converts, bottom line. It is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. you can try Bing as well... not bad either. In terms of learning the ropes, you'll avoid lots of frustration by going with google and reading all the forums and material you can get your hands on.

I'm still trying to bust that Google nut and slay aff offers on there without getting banned. I was KILLING it a few yrs ago before the big ban.

Before that I had my own line of herbs selling everything from weight loss to fresh pussy pills. You heard that right. A pill you take to make your pussy smell good and I made a killing with it.

I'm thinking about bring a partner on board and going private label and doing something like this: Consumer Health Review: Amazing New Diet Pill Sold Out Across The US? Breakthrough Coffee Bean Diet Exposed! & Green Coffee Ultra: The Effective Green Coffee Bean Extract for Weight Loss

So much time and energy but so much goddamn money. Affiliate marketing has got me spoiled like a mofro.

Depends on the type of traffic you're after, pre-qualified ads and Adwords is still the best IMO.

really ? that how you made $10k in EWA ?

2 years ago I had around low $x,xxx to my name, worked a shitty $8/an hour a job but had the drive to succeed. I first started with FB ads, lost a few hundo but then I eventually found a campaign that worked. Spent $50 made $150 back in my pocket, etc, etc.. I doubled that up again and again over and over again hundreds of times.

Since then I've generated millions of dollars in revenues mostly all with Facebook ads alone. I have never looked back, Facebook is a beast! The volume is there and still to this day so are the ROIs!

Good luck!
