Hey guys, first time poster...

I'm launching a new service this month that has to do with music. I'm investigating ringtone affiliate programs right now and would like input on the best ones.

So far I've checked out Funtonia, Flycell, and Jamster. Funtonia seems to be the best implemented with the clearest information, although I've not received a response email from any of them.

What are my options out here? Anything that doesn't look spammy or shitty? Do any wireless carriers allow direct linking or affiliate programs? Any info appreciated, thanks.

I signed up for CJ last night as well and saw some on there. Noticed that Jamster was available in countries OTHER than USA. Anyone using those?

Every ringtone offer looks spammy or shitty, but people who download ringtones are too stupid to realize it. Ringtones might not even work for you depending on what your "new service" is.

Jamster sucks. Flycell is the shit. Never tried Funtonia.

Edit: Just signed up for Funtonia. Not sure how well it'll convert because they don't use the same lander style as every other ringtone offer. You're basically sending a user to the main site and then hoping he'll click around and download something. Usually a less streamlined experience = less money.

Thanks for the response - and yeah I'm kind of agreeing with you. I've never purchased a ringtone personally, but I guess some people out there love it. Fortunately I think ringtones tie right into the type of site we're offering.

We're really trying to clean up the space we're entering and make it look more on the up and up. Hopefully that resonates with people out there.

I'm not sure if you saw it, but I liked Funtonia specifically because you can deep link to a specific Artist, Album, or Song. You can even link search terms, which I liked.

They seem to have smart fallbacks as well - meaning if you specify a song that they don't have it just shows the artist URL.

It's all based on the URL you construct, and there's a guide after you login as an affiliate.

I'll definitely check out FlyCell.

Motime is insane with their rules, it's ridiculous. I prefer Flycell but Motime does convert better. Jamster and Funmo are the shittiest ones every time I try them.

What rules? I signed up but they don't give much information about rules, nor payouts for that matter.

Don't really have anything specific to say other than Motime shits on it. Did you try it?

My site isn't launched yet...and the guy I was talking to about Motime isn't getting back to me very timely. Got Flycell approval in the works and working with SendMe mobile as well.

Any updates on the best ringtones program? I just signed up with funtonia and was gonna try them. Currently using hotcell but that sucks because it only supports 2 carriers. :(

Motime is still the best but it's definitely going down the drain. Typical life cycle of a ringtone offer.
