Best Wordpress plugin for building an email list?

I want to build an email list cause i've read a ton about how important it is.

Hostgator lets me send 500 emails per hour so I figure that's a damn good start. Not going to pay for aweber or anything yet.

So I'm looking for the best wordpress plugin that is free and will allow me to have a opt-in box appear on my posts or on a sidebar and collect name/email address from visitors.

I also need it to allow me to send out mass emails, send an automatic first email when they sign up to get them on board, etc.

That's about all I need. Don't need crazy advanced stuff yet. If anyone can recommend a good plugin it'd be a huge help.

MailChimp starts out free and they have a plugin/widget for WordPress that's free and was just updated.

MailChimp for sure I've heard is good.

Any of these would probably work pretty well too.

Mail chimp as the above poster says

But if you reached more than 500, might as well import it/pirate it/copy it to aweber cause you'll be paying the same amount of three fiddy's with mail chimp.
*Paid Aweber acc is better compared to paid mailchimp acc.
