I wish to register a Domain for my Affiliate Blog. The .com and the .net domains are already taken. So, I am left with .biz, .org and .us but I'm confused, which one to choose ?

Glad you're going with the .org. I have hundreds of keyword domain sites, and over half of them are .orgs
I even choose a .org over .net when both are available and the .com is is taken.
Over the years, I've found that it's truly much easier to rank .com/.net/.org when you're working with keyword domains (all of my keyword sites rank on the first page).
.Biz can be bloody awful to rank if the other extensions are taken and are ranking with some decent SEO.
.Us is good for keywords in specialized markets and hacks, but they are equally as hard to rank in the above scenario.
You're pretty much better off getting a modified version of the .com, than to go with an extension other than those three. IME

Thank you both for your suggestions and it's a definite that I will register a .org domain now. I really needed a .com but most of them are already registered and parked. Let's see what I can do with a .org domain. :music07:
you can try and get specified country TLD. I am ranking in Germanys Google and my .de domains are ranking much better than my .com/.net/.org. So if you specify on a single country...take the country TLD.
You guys are right. I got the .org domain instead of the .biz and .us domains. Now, I'm ranking on #1 for the keyword in the domain. Outranked an old .in domain with the same keyword. Thanks for your suggestions..!!
I have been using .org for some time now and think people feel more comfortable seeing a .org than a .com. The sense of being non profit or something of that sort.
as long as you don't go with .INFO you're safe... wasted my time getting .info keyword match domains... thinking I was going to be ballin in no time... lol worst move ever. Stick with .coms, .orgs, .nets and country-level domain names.

I would agree with the previous post but recently did an experiment with keyword rich domains and found that it was better to have a .org with no hyphen than a .com with a hypen.. not scientific and perhaps fairly obvious but anyway...
