quick question:
do you typically build your site around the affiliate product or do you build your site according to your niche and then try to "fit" products into the your content?

My 2 cents:
If quick LP - then fit the site to the offer.
If more involved site (e.g. one your trying to get ranked) - then fit the offers to the content.

so if i find an affiliate product that supplies a LP, i can hypothetically make money by just doing extensive keyword research, running an Adwords campaign and having a keyword-rich URL that points to the LP?

if you're doing ppc, your url really doesn't matter, except for appearance in the ads on the SE's...

depends on how many offers there are to test with....more offers, make products fit into it.. less offers, make the page tailored directly to the offer.
