On the firing line
In the "Your Business" thread JaredLV mentioned that we should have a goals thread where people can share their goals. I like it.

So, if you're down, share you're goals with the group.

Here's a couple of mine:

-- Buy a house instead of renting. When I say "buy" I mean "pay cash". I've learned that nothing beats ownership. I own both vehicles outright and it's a great feeling not having a car payment.

-- Buy my dream car. 1987 Buick GNX. 3800 pound sled with a 6 cylinder that can turn 12 second quarter miles bone stock. Only 587 ever made.

-- Unrelated to money or business: lose 100 pounds. Just got a gym membership and personal trainer lined up. This is probably going to be the toughest one of my life.

Okay, I showed you mine. Show me yours.

In order of desired completion:

1.) Make $500 on a single campaign (easy peasy right?)

2.) Consistently make $100 a day

3.) Quit my current job. This will happen when I consistently make over $300 a day from multiple sources, have $20,000 in savings, and what debt I have left paid off. Oh, and Health Insurance too.

Non-AM goals?

Well, I would like to finish my degree(s). I'm halfway to a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Chemistry. I had to stop because the money ran out. I would like to finish both. This is entirely dependent on my seeing through the third goal above. Of course traveling and buying a house are wants too. I just got married to an awesome girl, I want to make sure she has a good life. If I'm successful in AM I can see to that.

Good thread, Ill join in:

AM Goals:
Consistently be making $100/day within the next 3 months(seems a common milestone)
Quit my job...in a very spectacular way
Get good solid income from organic seo and not PPC (dont have a decent PPC budget to make it worth it)

Other Goals:
Finally receive my private pilots license
Lose about 50lbs
Get my own place
Travel to a country overseas

I should specify these are all goals for the year, not long term goals.

All mine are reasonably short term because I'm not really sure where I want my life to head in other than saying that I'd like to do more surfing.

  • Get credits in all my units for University this year
  • Make $100 / day, every day by August
  • Make enough with Internet Marketing to not have to work by the end of the year
  • Start running PPC campaigns regularly in Semester 2 of this year.
  • 1,000,000 pages indexed
  • Do some serious traveling, India, USA, England, Germany, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Greece
  • Affiliate Summits in 2011

They're goals I'm going to have to work constantly at to achieve in the times I've set, but what are goals worth unless you have to work to achieve them?

[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica]This 2010 I plan to implement some strategies to promote my website. I have to admit that I am not that knowledgeable with internet marketing and how it works. All I know is that I need people to be able to find me when they look for information about me on the internet.

I have my website, you can check it at drleerobinson.net . I am not doing well with promoting my online site since it's not my forte but I do plan to give ample time to promote it.

- Break the $100,000 within 2010
- Live full time on AM and my business in general
- Finish graduate school
- Diversify and expand. Ecommerce, SEO, stock trading, maybe eventually into real estate and more.

The ultimate goal?

- Buy private island resort for me and all of my friends, call it the "Brohamas". I already own Brohamas.com and Brohama.com as the motivation

I love me a GNX. Best car GM made in the 1980s, I'm a big old Buick fan. My first car was a 1975 Buick LeSabre Custom (powder blue with a white vinyl top - the Huggy Bear special). I'd say that's probably one of, if not my top, dream car.

YES! I've already plan to have a limo pick me up on my last day there. I work at an airport, so this isn't a big hassle....but I definitely will be leaving that shithole in style. And I'm also not one for burning bridges, but there are so many people who need to be told off...still haven't decided if I'm going to do that. Leave with class or a middle finger in the air?

So you're a doctor eh? Write me a script for Opana or Oxycontin and I'll make your site visible from fucking space!

My immediate goals (in AM at least) are to be making $100/day by August 23, and to be full-time in IM by the time I start school again in the fall.

I just had my first day at the new job last night. Filled out tons of paperwork, got told everything I could and couldn't do if I wanted to make money, and didn't even get to choose a schedule for myself. The whole thing made me want to strive for the above goals more than anything else so far.

I want to make 100.00 a day

and then take a vacation....

i like my full time job pays good, but nothing is better than staying home and working,

thats it for now, my goal is to make 100.00 a day by end of june

Amen dude - Buying a house with CASH is my goal, and I live in LA. People think I'm crazy when I tell them that I refuse to ever take a home mortgage out. I refuse to be strapped down like that. I'm about to go AM fulltime.

Beyond that,
- more travel
- keep surfing, volleyballing and gamin the girls
- stay healthy
- get a dog
- have kids at some point wayyy down the road.

I also want my TV pilot to get picked up (I co-hosted a pilot show kinda like Mythbusters), but that's out of my hands now. It was done for Spike TV, hopefully they want to have a go at it.

As far as the weightloss, read through the Obamacare rants on the shooting the shit forum. I urge you to do some reading and consider going paleo/primal/"caveman"... I posted some links on my rant, the one about the primal blueprint changed my life. That whole blog is an amazing resource.

Make enough money to start my next business, and make enough money from that to start the next one.

Baby steps.

I ultimately want to work my ass off for a few years so I can spend the rest of my life at some sexy condo in Manhattan sitting on a fat pile of money and just play video games and draw all day. Kinda like a childish goal but I finally want to be worry free for the first time in my life since I was 6. I just want to get to a point where I can do whatever I want.

After 2 years of reading about affiliate marketing, I am finally jumping into it.

My main goal of right now is to release the project I've been working on within the next 2 months.
AL-so, I would like to be making at least $100 a day from affiliate marketing by the end of the summer.
