Can I use old content from deindexed site?

I have an old site which is no longer indexed by Google (asked for the site to be removed via Google Webmaster tools using noindex robots).

Since the site is no longer indexed, does this mean I can reuse the old content without fear of it being classed as duplicate content?
 


don't see why not , as a matter of interest why did you request that the site be removed from the index?
 
I thought the same thing. Since the pages were no longer available, then it should be ok. Didnt know if Google still kept a record of the pages despite it being indexed from the serps.

I removed it from Google as my intentions were to have 2 related sites targetting the same offer but using different keywords. One worked better than the other so I got rid of the poor performing one.
 
Its bit of a long story to be honest. Promoting one site is time consuming enough, never mind two. Got rid of the weaker one since I had no time to create backlinks or update it with content. But now I want the old content for another semi related site.
