Can the person you are affliate of know what websites you are promoting?

Hi, this is just a simple question I couldn't find an answer to. So, can the owner of product you are affliate of know all the sites your are promoting his product from?

If so, can he know which website gets the most clicks and customers and what tool or software does he use to do that?

when anyone clicks a link anywhere, the URL of the page where the link is placed gets passed along with the request for the new page to the server the new page is hosted on.

its part of the HTML request your webbrowser does to load the new page.

it is very common to keep track of this.

Most affiliate networks use some sort of tracking platform (HitPath, Linktrust, DirectTrack, or their own proprietary software) which would be able to capture and store the referring URLs that their affiliates are driving traffic to. For example, if you had banners running on Dating Offer 123 on www.jobtoit352sdatingwebsite.com, the networks would be able to see the domain name of your site that the leads were coming in from. The advertiser should be able to tell, as well. They need to know whether or not leads they are paying out for are coming from affiliates who are following the advertiser's marketing guidelines. Going back to my previous example, it would be bad if you were promoting Dating Offer 123 on a cash incent site if that is not allowed by either the advertiser or the affiliate network.

The affiliate is the promoting of the advertiser when clicks the domain to send the affiliate traffic therefore when searched the referral variable passed accidentally a good luck bro 202.

If you want the affiliate network or advertiser to know what sites you use to promote the offers, or the keywords you use with PPC etc - then yes you can let them know. If you want to take the option of not showing them this information (which I think is a good idea) then you can blank the referrer. Google "double meta refresh" if you want to know how.

Yes, but a lot of affiliates use different methods to hide this so that they're not giving all their traffic sources, keywords, etc to the advertiser.
