Changing the Payee Name on my Adsense Account?

I know there is no option in Adsense to change the Payee Name, but under support it says you can contact adsense support about it....but does anyone know if they actually let you change your payee name?

Currently, as I'm underage, the account is in my dads name, but once I'm 18, I'd much rather to just change the payee name to mine instead of making a whole new account, therefore losing all my channels, reports, stats etc.

My friend tried to change the name and Adsense team suggested opening a new account, but this was 6 months ago.

Maybe they've changed this policy and also if you explain to them this, I'm sure they'll change it for you.

I've had the same problem(was under 18 and signed up under my father's name), and I actually sent them an e-mail so they can delete my account so I can start a new one(I explained why). (I've read that's the standard procedure somewhere on the official adsense blog).

They actually decided to just change my name after I agreed to provide them some info. It took about 4-5 days , and my name appeared as the payee name .

Careful , if you want to open a new account , be sure to ask them to delete the old account first ! (to not risk getting banned).

Well thats very encouraging.
It's still 1.5 years away from my 18th birthday, so won't be changing the payee name for a while :xomunch:
