I'm hoping to be able to create an affiliate site which I will be advertising and which will contains several products from my target site. I don't want to send people to his home page because he has a high conversion site with 800 numbers plastered all over and you all can see why that won't help my business very much. What I suggested to him was that I pretty much create my own version of his site and create separate sales pages for the different items he has and have each one link to its own check-out page (in his shopping cart) for that item. He agrees that I can do it, but I'm finding technical glitches in just adding my affiliate ID to the end of the page URL. Also, if I use my ID to log onto his site and go to the check out page for an item and then just copy the URL for my link, when the link is hit we arrive at his shopping cart but it's empty and the item clicked does not appear in it.
Has anyone else tried to solve my problem some other way, or made my way work? I sure would love to hear about it. Many thanks.
