CJ Redirects Question and CJSKU variable

Ok. So typically I despise CJ, but decided I'd give them a go for the upcoming campaign.
I'm going to be generating the campaign for this, so I need to be able to decide where to redirect to.
Examining 2 redirects gives me this:
http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-2501607-10557886?url=http://THEDEEPLINKTOPRODICT1&cjsku=40311
http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2501607-10557886?url=http://THEDEEPLINKTOPRODUCT2&cjsku=50595

So the only real difference here between the 2 products links(aside from the redirect url) that I worry about is the CJSKU number. Anyone know what it's for or if the sale will come through if this doesn't match up?

Item Based Action History (Advanced actions only)
SKU
Displays the SKU for the associated item.

Amount
Displays the sale amount for the associated SKU.

Item Discount
Displays the discount amount for associated SKU.
Note: Your advertisers must configure their tracking pixel to accept discounts for this information to display.

Quantity
Displays the quantity of items for the associated SKU.

Posting Date
Displays the date the action posted to the Commission Junction system

From what I gather it's basically for the merchant to keep track of inventory. I would also guess that it could mess up the shipping, charge amount, and it will definitely piss the advertiser off.

I use this kind of link for a few offers and have never had an issue with it.
I'm not sure I understand how a redirect could mess up their inventory tracking or shipping.

I get CJ data feeds and none of the destination/redirect links include that cjsku#
