so i start a ppc campaign for a very niche keyword

it gets about 10k impressions on the search network

then it gets about 200k impressions on the content network

ads bill: $241+

conversion: 0%

click fraud?

I think it is because if I was a click frauder i would let the ad get A HIGH AMOUNT OF IMPRESSIONS and a few clicks - low CTR, but still profitable.

how can i combat this? ive emailed google

is it possible to not pay because i am 100% positive the clicks were BS (visitors not staying on site for more than 1 second, note this is an affiliate site that i get STRONG conversions with from the organic listings)

It might just be poor conversion due to poor quality traffic or many other factors, don't blame it on click fraud right away. I'd start with a lower budget, like $30-40, then check the conversions and traffic stats.

Also, the content network usually has lower CTR and conversions so you might want to turn it off while you test search conversions first.

How relevant are your ads to your actual product?

Poor conversion can be a number of things.

If you want click fraud traffic, run a campaign on goclick and put $20 and use the unbid keywords. Then on your desk take a $20 bill and light it on fire.

See which $20 goes away first. It is a lot of fun. Never been able to get the $20 to burn fast enough on my desk to win though.
