I realize this might be too general of a question to give any accuracy but I need to get some perspective atleast. This is a question directed at people who do Clickbank ads through PPC.

What conversion rates do you usually expect for a profitable product? Of course it depends on how much the product costs but let's say we're talking about a 40$ product.

I just had a "learn chinese" ad go for 51 hops but 0 conversions. Is that normal?

Also, is there any categories that have higher conversion rates than others?

On an unrelated note, I just realized that ad networks could be fucking me out of my money by clicking the ads themselves with bots or something. Kinda makes me wanna use the most reliable (but costly ones) ad networks like Facebook.

Well, if the LP sucks it most certainly could be.

I would suggest that you contact the "Publisher" of the Clickbank product you are promoting and inquire about their own conversion rates.

Don't hold your breath for them to give actual or accurate conversion rates though. They don't want to tell you that their LP and Creatives suck at converting prospects because they want TRAFFIC from affiliates. But hey, you might get lucky and they will be honest and actually help you out.

You never know until you try. As with most things in life.
