For the past few weeks ive been reading uberaffiliate, johnathonvolk, this forum, and a few other blogs in hopes of gaining some knowledge. i have decided i want to pursue affiliate marketing but first i have a few dumb question. dont flame me too badly haha

1. I want to create a website but was wondering if I would have to create a different website, register it through godaddy, and then pay for hosting for EVERY campaign i want to run. Is it basically one website per campaign or what? the expenses would get pretty high if that were the case

2. I have no clue how to design website so Im thinking of outsourcing it to someone on elance. would they just design the sites and then i would have to put articles into the sites myself or would they do that. also, is dreamweaver alright to use to build sites?

3. Im starting ppc-coach after building my site so i think that will give me much more knowledge and help me along the way. should i just have 1 site built by the time i start ppc-coach. i mean like should i create a main site that is basically like uberaffiliate.com or have a site made purely for the campaign i want to pursue

thank alot guys, i know these are incredibly stupid questions, but your answers would really mean a lot to me

1. One hosting place, and try to get hosting with unlimited domains. I think Hostgator's baby plan has this. Start out with shared hosting until you start getting a lot of traffic and work your way up to VPS/dedicated. You'll have to pay for each domain name (usually around $10), and I personally use Namecheap, get the free WhoIs protection.

2. There's many ways to learn how to design websites, just involves trial and error and learning the ropes. Learn how to properly design a site (usually with Photoshop) and properly code it (Dreamweaver can help with this). Wordpress + Free templates are a good way to start out. If you have some startup money, then you can outsource the work to a good designer.

3. I've never used/joined PPC-Coach but from what I understand, the first month involves zip/email submits and polls (?) so I don't think having a site is essential.

thanks a lot man, i really appreciate it! thats what i was afraid of; having to buy a ton of domain names. but i guess ill be alright with a hosting place with unlimited domains.
for the websites, will i can either write articles, etc myself or get someone on elance to do it for a small price, correct? last question, i promise. how much would someone on elance charge to make a few websites. i have a $800 budget for everything as it stands. i already included ppc-coach in the $800, so i have 800 to actually spend

Well, you won't have to buy a ton of domains right off the bat, just buy one to start with, a lot of shared hosts like bluehost offer a domain name with the purchase of hosting I believe, as well as the ability to host unlimited domains. Buy them as you need them.

If you write articles like forum posts you should probably outsource them, check out the buy/sell/trade section.

I don't think you will need to have multiple sites built to get going, since you are a just starting out. Managing multiple campaigns can get a bit burly at times, at least for me and by burly I mean a lot to manage. Until you are a "super affiliate" you should probably work on one project/site/campaign at a time so you don't completely overwhelm yourself but to each their own...word!

I recently just bought xsitepro2 & it's WELL worth the money and once you've gone thru the tutorial you'll be building pretty nice sites with it, you'll save more in the long run rather than outsourcing.

Yeah a lot of wysiwyg designers do bloat a lot of code but xsitepro2 is surprisingly quite clean. You can also switch view to html mode and clean up any shit you don't want in there.

would this be better to use than say perhaps adobe dreamweaver. also, with ppc coach, you need to know a little php, would this software help me along the way?

i don't know if you said that right or not... but no host is going to let you create domains for free... unlimited domain hosting, that's another story.

zensix offers unlimited domain hosting with their two plans (search for the code to save some money as a wf member)

hostgator / dreamhost are going to massively oversell their boxes - and you're going to pay more than zensix. response time to tickets has been great w/ zensix and he's a member here - so throw some business his way.

register your domains at godaddy, namecheap, 1&1, wherever (there are supporters and haters for all the domain registrars) and point the domains to your zensix hosting account.
