Had an offer running for two months with 2% conversion rate.
Past two weeks declined practically to 0 (now it's on 0.3%)

Merchant is running a contest but av. pos. hasnt changed...
Where to look? wtf?

- has the landing page changed ?
- phone number added on landing page ?
- email optin box added ?

- did you add keywords ?
- create different ads ?
- your ad showing on other sites than before on the content network ?

- Is your webhost suffering from outages ?

...

so many variables. if you can give us some more info we can think of more stuff

ok here goes

1.included some articles and put footer links to them in small text
2.optimized ads
3.threw in a new landing page for split test. not much deviation in LP CTR, so shouldnt affect

merchant didnt change anything significant
i run only google search
host is fine

maybe someone messes up with stuff? clickbank? merchant?
cant think of nothing else..
maybe the product just died out? but that should happen gradually, not in a matter of 2 weeks..

2.optimized ads

That could be your problem: your new ads may be getting a better CTR but may not be attracting as many people who are interested in buying. For example, you may be targeting the keyword "baseball" in order to sell baseball cards and have these two ads:

If You Like Baseball
Give Us a Try
Pretty Pretty Please

and

Need Baseball Cards?
We've Got Over 1,500 For You
100% Satisfaction or a 100% Refund
While ad#1 will have a significantly higher CTR, most people are not potential customers: they're people who are just generally interested in baseball or people who've just wanted to visit the website of the desperate guy who wrote "pretty pretty please" in his ad.

Even if your modifications are not as drastic as the difference between these two ads, some minor changes could have still have affected conversions. You say that your average position hasn't changed, so your CTR has probably not increased dramatically (I can't be 100% sure though, since you didn't provide any info about your bids and have excluded the possibility of your landing page being at fault). Even so, you might want to revert to one of your old ads and see what happens.

If reverting to your old settings doesn't work, then it's either a tracking issue or people just woke up and realized that the product sucks.

There's alot of talk about CB and their recent problems in other forums. Would suggest you have a look there as they're hard to miss threads.

There definitely seems to a problem with CB's tracking system.
