Does anyone have any experience with this? I've found a bit of a golden nugget in terms of CPM costs (about 1/3 of its competition for similar traffic demographic/levels).

CPM rates are about $0.95 to $1.55. Was thinking that I could use taht to send it to a mobile offer/toolbar download. Does anyone have any experience/insights?

Might as well give it a shot. I do have experience with it, but haven't had a whole lot of luck with offers like that.

If it's targeting the correct demographic throw some dollars at it. Are you locked in, or can you pull it off at any time?

Short-term test. I'm going to see how it does, though I remain skeptical. Hopefully it will work out.

CPM works if you can get your CTR high, but with adsense changing the size of their click area a couple of months ago, I've noticed a big drop in content network CTR rates. It was enough of a drop to kill off a few campaigns that used to perform well.

It's surprising that changing the click region can really knock CTR down that much but I saw it across the board.

I was referring to goog CPM based advertising. Now that I re-read your post again, it looks like you're referring to CPM media buys.

In this case really focus on getting the creative to be compelling enough to get the user to click. You're paying for the views no matter what, so take a chance and put something eye catching on there. Remember that sex sells. Text in the creative also works well if they allow it.

I don't know how much relates to you but let me tell you a little story. A couple of days ago a decided to give another try to CPA/CPL advertising. I posted some banners on my website (music website, ringtone ads) and got absolutely nothing in return after 100k views and 100-200 clicks.

I also have a little-ol-text-link somewhere on those pages that's getting a 0.4 eCPC and converting quite well. Banners got me absolutely nothing. So be wary of your actions.. and pray it works...
