Day-Parting on Facebook

I keep ads running 24/7 because I can't figure how to day-part w/o screwing up campaigns. Things i've tested:

1) Pause/resume -- usually results in poor performance upon unpausing.

2) Set campaign end date -- campaigns usually perform horribly and/or campaigns become stagnate.

3) Lower budget and increase budget during the day -- FB sends a burst of shitty traffic and then campaigns starts to perform again.

4) Lower bids to .01 cent overnight and increase during the day -- poor performance and lower CTR when bids are re-raised.

Nearly every campaign I try to day-part goes to shit.

How do you guys do it?

I just leave stuff running. If I notice a dip in conversions I cut the CPC bid. Then up the CPC bid the next day.

If you figure out how to easily automate day parting PLZ post it here. I suspect FB doesn't want it because it will result in less ad revenue for them.

I try not to daypart with Facebook since their system is retarded whenever you make any changes. However sometimes you have to due to caps or whatever.

Lowering the budget to $1 and increasing it when you need it is the best play.

The other options of pausing campaigns or messing with bids can fuck up a campaign for good.

What's the difference in going Manual vs Optimizing?

Both are really optimized by FB or else the manual bids wouldn't last all day and there would be days when the budget is never used in total.
