Dealing with Clickbank Affiliates

Hi all,

I'm an SEO consultant by day, but I just wrote an SEO eBook which I added to the Clickbank marketplace. I'm completely new to the affiliate marketing world, so I have no idea where to go from here.

So how do I get affiliates to start marketing my eBook? What are some basic strategies? Any ideas around pricing or copy? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Aidan

Oh! so you are an SEO gururuz and you don't know how to market or get affiliates to market your piece of shit ebook? please, get the fuck out.

@Sticks79

I know the SEO world very well. In fact, my eBook ranks on the first page of Google for the term "seo eBook". I believe it's currently the fourth result. I was able to get to this spot within two weeks of launching my site. The proof is in the pudding.

In all honesty, I drive solid, qualified traffic via the search engines, but I want to ramp up with affiliate programs. Any Clickbank advice is much appreciated.

Cheers,
Aidan

Well you may want to get your download page deindexed, because I've just treated myself to a free review copy of your $37 ebook. I'm sure you know how to add a noindex meta tag?
<META name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">

As for affiliates, just focus on promoting your ebook yourself via seo/ppc and
you'll grab the attention of other affiliates, especially if you outcompete
similar products. Your ranking is pretty good already so if anyone is looking
to promote an SEO book they'll have the opportunity to see your product.
I would suggest you work on your sales page more though, looks pretty
weak.

I still cannot believe that there are people out there that think it's ok to charge over $1 per page for something that's not even a physical product, and is commonly available knowledge in pretty much any up to date HTML text-book that costs a similar amount and comes as an actual book, and usually has a demo CD.

You could say the same for rebills or any affiliate product known to man. If people pay that much, it's okay to charge that much.

For starters you should put up an affiliate page with sample articles/info/other shit like most Clickbank products have. Also it would be beneficial to start a mailing list for affiliates to help them out, keep them up to date, and get feedback.

Ahh come one now we all promote crappy rebills that are filled with commonly available knowledge for far more than your artificial rate of $1/page. If there are people out there dumb enough to buy it more power to the guy peddling his crap.

Shows a 500 internal server error now for the direct PDF download, but it still allows HTML view using Google. Thanks for the ebook! Format is a little messed up but I think I can understand all of your major points.

Anything else you want to share with the world? Keep 'em coming.
