I'm talking about the google ads made to look like nav tabs

Will google axe me for this? It is kinda misleading I guess?

I think its ok since you have a small border. Plus being misleading is the point;)

From what I can see the design looks really nice too.

looks nice, I dont think it's against TOS but I did see a few people advise against it..
I'd go for it, but don't take my word for it

im a bit worried adsense is kinda important to a non U.S resident wanting to get into arbi so I don't want to get banned too soon :o

Do you really want people to click on link ads? First of all they have to click twice for you to make any money. Secondly they traditionally pay much less than other ads.

It is a design mockup from photoshop not a screenshot of a webpage.

The ads were taken from the adformats page on adsense and then put in. I haven't coded the layout yet.

smartass.

I like the layout, why don't you just get another account for arbi purposes? That is what I did for Blackhat purposes, helped me experiment more vigorously

i cant get 2 accounts i dont have a business bank account and stuff?
You don't need that, just sign up in your dad's name or mum's name. Or get a friends name, that is what I did. Just got a mates account and another mate to sign up for an account. Just collect money from them :p

yeah, thats actually a pretty swell concept, but how are you going to achieve the transparent background on the link unit?

Damnit. I didnt realise they weren't transparent, I thought it was just text.

Email from adsense;

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your email. I understand you would like to know whether your
site http://www.img911.com/uploads/303sdsd.jpg complies with our program
policies.

Unfortunately, the current layout of the site is not permitted in the
program. Specifically, publishers may not use symbols or misleading images
that direct attention to the ads on their sites. The images displayed to
the left of your Google ads fall under this category.

I also thought I'd mention that publishers are not permitted to encourage
users to click on Google ads or bring excessive attention to ad units. For
example, your site cannot contain phrases such as "click the ads,"
"support our sponsors," "visit these recommended links," or other similar
language that could apply to the Google ads on your site. Finally,
publishers may not label the Google ads with text other than "sponsored
links" or "advertisements."

We appreciate your understanding. Please let us know if you have further
concerns.

For additional questions, I'd encourage you to visit the AdSense Help
Center (http://www.google.com/adsense_help), our complete resource center
for all AdSense topics. Alternatively, feel free to post your question on
the forum just for AdSense publishers: the AdSense Help Group
(http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help).

Sincerely,

Casey

It looks like only the big arrows on the right are the problem.
